Sideways Trend

A price pattern where an asset's value moves horizontally between support and resistance levels without making significant higher highs or lower lows. It indicates market indecision or equilibrium between buyers and sellers.

Example

Gold was stuck in a sideways trend between $1,900 and $1,950 for weeks, reflecting market indecision as traders awaited the next inflation report.
