Ukrainian Hryvnia (UAH)

The official currency of Ukraine, abbreviated as UAH and issued by the National Bank of Ukraine. The hryvnia has experienced significant volatility due to geopolitical tensions, conflict, and economic restructuring. The central bank has periodically shifted between fixed and floating exchange rate regimes to manage currency stability during periods of economic stress.

Example

The National Bank of Ukraine allowed USD/UAH to float to 41.00 after maintaining a wartime peg, aiming to better reflect market conditions.
