Responsive Activity
Trading activity that brings the market back toward the value area from outside it. Counter-trend participants respond to prices they perceive as away from fair value, pushing price back toward the mean.
Example
“When ES futures dropped 30 points below the previous day's value area low, responsive buyers stepped in aggressively, pushing price back within the value area by the close.”
