VAH
Value Area High, the upper boundary of the value area in a volume profile analysis, representing the highest price within the range where a specified percentage (typically 70%) of total volume was traded during a given session. VAH acts as a key reference level for traders, functioning as potential resistance when price approaches from below and as potential support when price is trading above it. Market profile traders use VAH in conjunction with VAL and the point of control to make trading decisions.
Example
“Price stalled at the previous day's VAH of $4,285, confirming it as resistance before pulling back toward the point of control.”
