What Is Futures Open Interest?
The total number of outstanding futures contracts across all exchanges. Represents the total amount of capital committed to Bitcoin futures positions.
How to Interpret
Rising OI with rising price = new money entering long positions (bullish). Rising OI with falling price = new shorts being opened (bearish). Declining OI = positions being closed.
